Fix your swing. We measure the club and the body.

Six identical sensors — on your club, your hand, your forearm, your back — and a free app that tells you out loud what your swing just did. No studio, no guessing what a good swing feels like.

The problem

A good swing and a bad swing feel almost the same.

Your launch monitor tells you what happened to the ball. Your coach tells you what to change. Neither is with you on the range or the course on a Tuesday, when the swing that felt great went forty yards right. MoCaddieIQ™ measures what your body and club actually did — and says so, out loud, while the feel is still in your hands.

🎯

Direct measurement

A sensor on the club and sensors on the body. A wrist-only device has to infer where the club is; a camera has to guess at depth. We put a sensor where the question is.

🔊

Spoken feedback

"Clean swing — feel that one and repeat it." The phone stays on the tripod. You hear the result, you feel the swing, you repeat it. That is the whole method. Coming with the production sensors: a buzz on the body part that went wrong.

🧩

One sensor, any position

Every sensor is identical. Position is a setting. Start with three, add three more later, and a spare fits anywhere — nothing to re-buy.

How it works

Strap on. Swing. Hear it.

Strap on and pair

Club sensor twists onto the grip end, the rest twist onto straps and plates. Under two minutes. The app calibrates from your address position, so where exactly a strap sits does not matter.

Swing normally

Every swing is captured and analysed on the phone: tempo, face, path, attack, the plane the club came down on, and — with the body sensors — the turn, the X-factor and whether the hips led.

One correction, out loud

Not a data dump. The one thing costing you most, in plain English, with the drill that fixes it. Drill Mode then grades every repetition against the position, and says "on target" when you are.

The kits

Three kits. One sensor.

Buy more of the same sensor, unlock more of the swing. Target prices, subject to final costing; the app is free with every kit.

Swing Clinic

Five swings. A health check. The three things to fix — and why.

Every part of your swing rated, the faults that are actually habits (not one-offs), and for each one whether it is technique or mobility — so you know whether to drill or to stretch. With an honest estimate of how long the fix takes.

Where we are

In development. Built in the open.

MoCaddieIQ is not on sale yet. The sensor hardware and the app exist and are being tested on real swings; a feasibility study with independent validation is planned for 2027, ahead of launch. Everything on this site that is measured is described as measured, and everything that is still an estimate says so. If a claim on a page is more than we can show, tell us and we will change the page.

Who we are

Built in Wales, by a golfer who wanted to know why.

MoCaddieIQ is made by Omnivia Apps Ltd, a small technology company in Porthcawl, on the South Wales coast. We design the sensors, the firmware and the app ourselves, and we test them on real swings on the range.

Nigel Thomas, Founder

Nigel has run businesses for over forty years. Before that he worked in software, as a project manager on systems for the BBC and IBM, and installing software for Procter & Gamble and the Ministry of Defence. He started MoCaddieIQ after spending years being told what was wrong with his swing without ever being able to see it. He leads the product end to end: the hardware, the firmware and the app.

The company

Omnivia Apps Ltd is registered in England and Wales, company number 16592193, at 4 Mallard Way, Porthcawl, CF36 3TQ. We already publish apps on Google Play, including CaddieIQ, our golf GPS and AI caddie. MoCaddieIQ is our main product in development.

Who’s backing us

MoCaddieIQ is supported by Business Wales. We’ve received the Bridgend County Borough Council Business Start-Up Fund, and we’re taking part in an intellectual property audit funded by the UK Intellectual Property Office and the Welsh Government. We’re working with Welsh universities on independent testing ahead of launch.

Questions

Straight answers.

What is MoCaddieIQ?

A set of small wearable motion sensors for golf — on your club, hand, forearm and, with the larger kits, your back and pelvis — and a free phone app that measures your swing and gives spoken feedback. It measures the club and the body directly rather than inferring one from the other.

How much does it cost?

Three kits are planned: MoCaddieIQ Wrist (3 sensors), MoCaddieIQ Full Swing (6 sensors) and MoCaddieIQ Ground Up (6 sensors plus pressure insoles). Prices will be announced closer to launch. Every kit includes the first 12 months of the Player plan.

When can I buy it?

It is in development, with a feasibility study and validation planned for 2027 ahead of launch. Join the launch list and we will tell you when it is available.

Is there a subscription?

It is optional. Every kit includes the first 12 months of the Player plan. After that the app keeps working with everything you have; the Player plan adds updates and new features, extended swing history, AI coaching explanations and new drill programmes. A Pro plan for golf professionals adds player accounts and a coach portal.

Does it fix an over-the-top swing?

It measures it. The club sensor measures whether the club comes down steeper than it went back — the over-the-top move — on every swing, and the body sensors in Full Swing show whether the hips or the shoulders started the downswing. A pump drill grades the fix rep by rep, out loud.

Does it work with my coach?

That is the idea. The message is "between lessons", not "instead of lessons": your coach's instruction survives the week because the app measures the thing they told you to change. Coaches get named PDF reports and can run a Swing Clinic on a student — see For coaches.

Android or iPhone?

Both. The app is being developed for Android and iPhone at the same time.
